Spinal Decompression: Safe and Painless Treatments
Anyone who suffers from back or neck pain caused in whole or in part by damaged or degenerated discs or spinal joints may be helped my DTS spinal decompression Therapy.
Common conditions:
Herniated, protruding or bulging discs
Degenerative Disc Disease
Spinal Stenosis
Facet Arthrosis
Sciatica
Radiculopathy (pinched nerves)
Spondylosis
Chronic back pain
Failed back surgery
DTS Spinal Decompression is a FDA cleared non-surgical computerized traction based procedure. During this procedure a negative pressure is created within the disc. Because of that negative pressure, disc material that has protruded or herniated can be pulled back within the normal confines of the disc, and permit healing to occur.
Mechanical Effects:
-Decrease intradiscal pressure
-Widen intervertebral foramen
-Stretch ligaments and muscles
-Relax musculature
Physiological Effects:
-Relieve nerve root compression
-Possible disc retraction
-Mobilize joints and muscles
-Improve blood flow
-Decrease Pain and Inflammation
DTS Spinal Decompression is performed on a specially designed table in either a face up or face down position.
You are positioned on the table and fitted with a wrap-around harness. This restraint is what allows the unloading of the spine and disc by the computerized motor. Your position on the table, harness, and angle of the gentle distraction allows for accurate and focused treatment to the disc.
Once comfortable on the DTS, the computer controlled traction device is programmed to deliver a gentle stretching force to the spinal vertebra. Most patients report a gentle stretching in the area the traction is being delivered. Since DTS Therapy is a comfort-based procedure, patients usually report a sense of relief and relaxation during the session, many patients actually fall asleep.
